Kristie Marie Ricard, age 63, of Crookston, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born November 26, 1962, in Crookston to parents Sidney and Irene (Rude) Snyder.

Kristie’s life was deeply rooted in her community, her work, and her faith.

Growing up, she attended McKinley Elementary School and Highland Middle School before graduating from Crookston Central High School in 1981. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota-Crookston.

Her working years reflected both loyalty and a strong work ethic. Kristie’s first job was at the A&W Drive In. During her high school and college years, she worked at Osman Drug, which later became Thrifty White Drug. She then continued her career at First National Bank, which became First American National Bank and later Bremer Bank. In 1990, she joined Farm Credit Services, a workplace that later became AgCountry. She remained there for 32 years, retiring in 2022 after a long and faithful career.

Kristie also gave generously of herself through service and involvement. A lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she served as a Sunday school teacher and held positions on several church boards. Her last role there was as treasurer of WELCA, she also served as kitchen co-chair. Beyond her church, she was a member of the Riverview Auxiliary Board and served on the Eagles Auxiliary Board for more than 40 years. These commitments spoke to her enduring devotion to the organizations and people she cared about.

Kristie will be remembered for a life of steadfastness, service, and commitment. Her presence has woven through the places where she learned, worked, worshiped, and volunteered, her contributions left a lasting impression on her community.

Kristie is survived by her husband, Timothy Ricard of Crookston, MN; children, Shannon (Brekken) & Jerry Janorschke of Ramsey, MN, Kirsten (Brekken) & Kenny Standen of Highlands Ranch, CO, Whitney (Ricard) and Jeremy Huot of Dorothy, MN, Cole and Emily (Ricord) Ricard of Crookston, MN; grandchildren, Chase Standen, Skylar Standen, Letti Miller, Trace Huot, Hayden Ricard, Ben Ricard; siblings, Dale (Kim) Snyder of Mondovi, WI, Stuart Snyder of Crookston, and Roberta Mollet of Hugo, MN.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Curtis Brekken; parents, Sidney and Irene Snyder; her parents-in-law, Vernon and Janet Ricard, and Albert and Wanda Brekken; sisters, Rebecca Marsnik, Shirley Snyder; and other beloved friends and relatives.

She will be remembered with gratitude and affection by all who knew her.
