Jerald
Robinson
February 5, 1954 – May 11, 2026
Jerald "Beeps" Robinson, age 72, was born in 1954 in Valley City, North Dakota. He passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends whose lives he filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories.
Beeps was born to Grace (Vaughn) Robinson and Cyril Robinson and carried with him the hardworking, spirited nature that defined his life. He was known by many throughout the valley, especially among the friends he made at Ralph Engelstad Arena and within the racing community, which were his passion. Wherever he went, people remembered him.
In 1994, Jerry met his match, Mary Thibert. Several years later, they were married on August 3, 2002. Beeps was the heart of his new family and was our pirate captain. He was always taking charge and steering everyone toward fun, chaos, and togetherness. His happiest place in the world was at the lakes; whether it be at Lake of the Woods, growing up fishing, or at Lake Sarah or Loch Erin, where he spent countless days pulling kids on tubes and skis, taking everyone for boat rides, and making sure nobody ever sat around bored. If there was sunshine, water, and family nearby, Beeps was home.
Every morning had its routine: a trip to the store for breakfast donuts and a Diet Mountain Dew before heading off to run his best pals, his dogs. Beeps loved working with his hands, building things, planning mischievous pranks, cooking, and keeping life entertaining. He always had a one-liner ready and a smart remark not far behind. His sharp humor and tough-love personality made him impossible to forget and even tougher not to love. His work varied from pouring cement to chef and fine dining, to slinging beers and brats in concessions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace (Vaughn) and Cyril "Cy" Robinson; his brothers, Jack and Jim Robinson; and his sister-in-law, Patty. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Lucy, wife of his late brother Jack. Jerry also reunites with many beloved pets.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Thibert; his children, Shauna (Denny), Shelby, and Mark (Eri); his grandchildren, Zach, Doug (Audrey), Isaiah, Duncan, Emari, and Hazuki; and his nephews Patrick, Nick (Jen), and Zakary Robinson. He also leaves behind his loyal golden retriever and best buddy, Liam, and his family pets.
Though he may be gone from our sight, the stories, laughs, lake days, and love he gave us will stay with us forever.
Fair winds and following seas, Beeps.
