William "Bill" Leguee, age 57, of Grand Forks, ND, died peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, following a short, courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born on January 17, 1956 in Crookston, son of Gordon and Ardis (Capistran) Leguee. He was baptized and confirmed at the Cathedral in Crookston. As Bill grew up he enjoyed skiing, swimming, hiking and summertime at Union and Maple Lake. He attended school at Carman, Highland and then on to Crookston Central High School, graduating in 1974. He graduated in 1983 from UMC in seed and soil, and then worked at Dahlgren's for two years. He moved to Grand Forks and started his thirty year career at Border States Electric. He had also worked at Rumors in Grand Forks for fifteen years on weekends. He was a member of the Crookston Eagles Lodge # 873 for 36 years. Bill had many friends, always helping others before thinking of himself and was a very hard worker. He is survived by his parents: Gordon and Ardis of Crookston; siblings: Rory (Loretta) Leguee of Gold Beach, OR, Eileen (David) Warzeka of Lake City, SD, and Becky (Tony) Siani of Dallas, GA; nephews: Jesse and Samuel Leguee; nieces: Amy Bachmeier and Kelly Siani. He was preceded in death by a brother: Jan Peter Leguee. The service for Bill will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, May 29th at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Crookston, with visitation for one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston.
