William “Bill” Charles Barsaloux of Largo, FL, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by family.
Born December 13, 1945, in Crookston, MN, to Raymond O. and Henrietta A. (Normandin) Barsaloux, Bill was baptized, received First Communion, and was confirmed at St. Anne Catholic Church in Crookston. He attended St. Joseph’s Academy and graduated from Crookston Cathedral High School in 1963. He later attended Creighton University and the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Bill’s career in sales and purchasing took him from Minneapolis, MN, to California. In retirement, he settled in Largo, FL, to be near family.
Bill had many interests, including computer IT (notably CU-SeeMe in the ’90s), casinos, golf, attending the horse races, theme parks, watching westerns, wrestling, solving crossword puzzles, playing pool, and especially playing cards with his brothers. He was a kind and compassionate man who deeply cared for his family and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his siblings: RoseMarie Wise (Crookston, MN); Robert (Carole) Barsaloux (The Villages, FL); Loretta Banke (Hoschton, GA); Jean Barsaloux (The Villages, FL); and Raymond (Eileen) Barsaloux (Largo, FL); along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Arthur and Alida (Benoit) Normandin and William and Melvina (Roy) Barsaloux; and brothers-in-law Judge Harold Banke and Jay Wise.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the National Cremation Society, Clearwater, FL. A private family memorial will be held at a later date, with interment at Calvary Cemetery in Crookston, MN.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Tierra Pines Nursing Home and to Bill’s hospice care team for their compassionate support.
May God bless the memory of Bill.
