Susan Walker, born on November 4, 1968, in Oklahoma, and resident of Fertile, Minnesota, passed away on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024, at the age of 55. A devoted mother and grandmother, Susan’s life was a testament to her enduring love for her family and her cherished pets.
Her children, Billie and Sarah, as well as her adored grandchildren, Lola and Elijah, were the center of her universe. Susan’s nurturing presence and unwavering support were the cornerstones of their lives. She possessed an innate ability to make every moment special for those she loved, and her joyful spirit was infectious.
A passionate fan of music, Susan found happiness in the lyrics of her favorite artist, Lil Kim. She often filled her home with song, creating a soundtrack for the cherished memories made there as she sang her heart out.
Susan leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, survived by her daughters, Sarah Tammi and Billie Tammi, and her grandchildren, Lola and Elijah. Her son, Colten Tammi, predeceased her, leaving a space in her heart that she carried with grace.
The family has decided to forgo a traditional funeral service. Instead, they invite those who wish to honor Susan’s memory to make a donation in her name to the Crookston Humane Society, supporting a cause close to her heart or a donation to her last end-of-life wishes.
The Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston, MN, is overseeing the arrangements. Susan’s life will be commemorated privately by her family, but they take comfort in knowing that her kind and gentle soul will continue to be felt by all who knew her. Her memory will remain a guiding light to her loved ones, just as her presence was a beacon of warmth and care in their lives.
