Sarah Hanson

Sarah L. Hanson, 31, of Crookston, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2015, at Altru Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was born in Crookston, Minnesota on April 6, 1984 to loving parents Lynn and Deb Hanson. She grew up in Crookston, Minnesota, and graduated from Crookston High School in 2004. Sarah loved to be outdoors where she could go horseback riding, four-wheeling, fishing, swimming, and most of all, spending time with family and friends around the campfire. Any chance she had, Sarah enjoyed being out in the community watching her siblings, nieces, and nephews at sporting events, plays, or other social activities. When she was young, Sarah was quickly welcomed into the wrestling community where they would take her down to the mat and have scrimmages with her. She also loved walking in the Arena with family and friends. This was cherished time where she could be active and share her joy with everyone she met. Everyone knows that you could always count on a hug from Sarah. She was filled with love and happiness that she wanted to share with everyone she met. Sarah had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dog Missie who was her closest companion. Sarah had an amazing sense of humor and her laughter was contagious. We have all benefited from knowing Sarah and having her in our lives made us better people. She was the family's little princess and will be missed dearly. Loving family members include her mother Deb; three brothers and one sister, Heath Hanson, Joshua (Lacia) Hanson, Miranda "Marty" Hanson, and Adam (Marie) Hanson; maternal grandparents, Louis and Nancy Cournia; three nieces Alexis, Tiffany, Jasmin, and one nephew, Clay. Sadly, Sarah was preceded in death by father, Lynn; brother, Matthew David; Grandparents, Harold and Lilly; and Uncle, Dan Cournia. May God bless the memory of Sarah Lou Ann Hanson.
