Nicholas Adrian "Nick" Anderson

July 24, 1994 — May 15, 2023

Duluth

Nicholas Adrian “Nick” Anderson, 28, of Duluth, MN, and a rural East Grand Forks-Fisher, MN native, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth early Monday morning, May 15, 2023, as God called him home to heaven.

Nick was born and baptized on July 24, 1994 at Grand Forks, ND, the son of Randy and Pamela (Eastman) Anderson. He was lovingly raised together with his brothers, Aaron and Evan, in his parents rural East Grand Forks home. He publicly confessed his Christian faith as he was confirmed on March 16, 2008 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fisher. Nick attended Fisher public school and graduated with the Class of 2012. He was employed at Office Max in Grand Forks while in high school and later at Office Max in Duluth while majoring in History at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He then went on to his career as a bartender at Fitger’s Brew House in Duluth where he was employed until his passing.

Nick loved living in Duluth, enjoying time spent outdoors hiking, kayaking, camping, swimming in the cold waters of Lake Superior, and bringing friends together for bonfires. He met and fell in love with Amanda Susnik and the two became inseparable. Nick was surrounded in life by great friends, including not only fellow employees of Fitger’s, but patrons as well. His ability to bring people together made him loved by all. Nick had a lifelong passion for reading and learning, especially all things history, and he was well versed in a wide range of subjects. He enjoyed conversing with anyone from any background and adding interesting facts to just about any topic being discussed.

Nick will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Randy and Pam Anderson of rural East Grand Forks, MN; his beloved, Amanda Susnik of Duluth-Superior; 2 brothers, Aaron Andreson and his wife, Amber, and their children, Elliana and Slaegan of Spokane, WA, and Evan Anderson of Duluth, MN; grandparents, Tom and Pat Stoen of Valley City, ND; aunts and uncles: Betty Metzger of Fisher, MN, Marcy Anderson of East Grand Forks, Harris Mills of Grand Marais, MN, Julie Stoen of Fargo, ND, Jim Stoen of Sandy, UT, Paul Eastman of Climax, MN, and Eric Eastman of Thief River Falls, MN; cousins and extended family; and many very close friends. He has been reunited in Heaven with his grandparents: Ingvald and Margaret Anderson and Loran Eastman; and uncles and aunt: John Metzger, Ed Anderson, Roger Anderson, and Mary Mills. Blessed be the memory of Nicholas Adrian Anderson.

Nick’s life will be honored at a funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2023, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fisher, with Pastor Douglas Thompson, officiating. Visitation with the family will be for one hour prior to the service and burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Fisher.
