Nancy (Luettjohann) Moser, 61, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted caregiver, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2026.

Nancy was born on October 7, 1964, at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to her loving parents, Leo and Judy Luettjohann, and spent most of her life in Crookston, Minnesota, a community she proudly called home. She attended high school in Crookston and went on to pursue her passion for caregiving at the Agassiz Valley Practical School of Nursing.

Nancy was united in marriage to Gary Moser on August 2, 1985, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and dedication. They shared nearly 41 years of marriage and were blessed with two daughters, who brought them immeasurable joy. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crookston, where she was confirmed, married, and where her children were baptized. Nancy also served her church as a Deacon and participated on several committees, reflecting her strong faith and commitment to her community.

Her life was defined by compassion, dedication, and service to others. For an extraordinary 39 plus years, she faithfully served at the Benedictine Living Community, Crookston, as a Licensed Practical Nurse in many roles and currently as a Quality Services and Staff Development Coordinator. She also spent a short period of time working at the Northwestern Mental Health Center, RiverView Family Practice and Integrated Medicine Center, and Edgewood Healthcare. further reflecting her commitment to caring for others in various roles. Throughout her long and meaningful career, Nancy touched countless lives with her gentle care, professionalism, and heartfelt empathy. Her work was more than a profession—it was her calling—and she was deeply respected and admired by colleagues, residents, and their families. In recognition of her dedication and excellence, Nancy was honored with the 2016 Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy Award. She was also very proud of having been voted by her peers as the 2024 Adult Prom Queen at the Benedictine Living Community – Crookston Fundraiser.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Gary Moser; her daughters, Jill (Samuel) Burgess and Samantha (Alex) Tiedemann; and her cherished grandchildren, Georgia, Adaleigh and Luke Burgess, and Fallon Tiedemann; mother, Judy Luettjohann. She is also survived by her siblings, Keith (Laurie) Luettjohann, Janet (Brian Hvidston) Luettjohann, and Roger (Brenda) Luettjohann, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Luettjohann, and her great nephew, Anthony Kuznia.

Nancy will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. She had a special gift for making people feel comforted, valued, and cared for. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at the lake, motorcycle touring, painting, and gardening. While she didn’t necessarily love ice fishing itself, she cherished ice fishing with her husband Gary—and out fishing him every time. She also found great joy in her love of dogs, especially her “fur baby,” Abner, and loved attending family events, being surrounded by loved ones, and especially spoiling her grandchildren.

A wake will be held Friday, June 26, from 5:00–7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM, at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday, June 27 at 12:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crookston, Minnesota. Burial will follow the service.
