Lou Randall

Lou Ellen Randall, age 82, of Crookston, MN, passed away on May 19, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Villa St. Vincent Chapel in Crookston, MN, on Friday, May 27th at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at 9:00 a.m. Patricia Lou Ellen Virginia Randall was born to Clarence and Ellen (Zakrison) Voxland of McIntosh, MN on June 10, 1933. Lou Ellen graduated high school from the Crookston A.C., worked at the Sunset Nursing Home in McIntosh, and received her teaching certificate from Mayville State Teachers' College. Lou Ellen worked as a school teacher in the Dakotas when one-room schools were the classrooms of the day. Lou Ellen married Charley Randall of Duluth, MN. To their union was born one son, Jack Charles Randall. In her later years, Lou Ellen enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with the residents and staff at Villa St. Vincent nursing home. Lou Ellen Randall is survived by her sister, Carole (Voxland) Charest of Battle Lake, MN; one son, Jack (Kathleen) Randall of Cameron, MO; one grandson, Jonathan (Britt Ingunn) Randall of Bergen, Norway; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Chris) Kern of Beverly, MA; five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Lisa, and Mia Randall and Jarvis and Annika Kern; two nephews, Mike (Lori) Charest of Amor, MN; and Larry (Kim) Charest of Battle Lake, MN; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous cousins. Special thanks goes to Karen Donarski, Brad Giddings, and Kenneth and Harriet Rolf for all their care and love shown to Lou Ellen over the past years. Thank you to Pastor Bill Humiston and Pastor Bill Reck for encouraging and faithfully presenting the Gospel in their conversations with Lou Ellen. Thank you to the numerous residents and caregivers of Villa St. Vincent and Hospice of the Red River Valley for providing great care and kindness to Lou Ellen. Lou Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Clarence Voxland. Services are being held at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN, on Friday, May 27th at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements are being made by Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home of Crookston, MN.
