Karen Perreault

Karen Marie Perreault, 46, of Gentilly, MN passed away peacefully at her home, early Monday morning, July 23, 2012 surrounded by family. The youngest of five, Karen was born in Crookston on September 25, 1965 to Omer and Carol (Normandin) Perreault. She lived in Gentilly much of her life and was a 1984 graduate of Crookston Central High School. In 1990, Karen moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she was employed by the Act II Company until 1994. While living there, she was blessed with a daughter, Ashley Marie Welch. Upon their return to Crookston, Karen was employed at Cenex and later at McKinnon Company Inc. in Grand Forks, ND as a graphic designer from 1999 until this year. Karen was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Gentilly. She treasured the time she had with her daughter as well as any time spent with family. She enjoyed going to auctions to find "special treasures" and spoiling her dogs. Karen enjoyed working at McKinnon Company Inc. with co-workers she considered family. May God bless Karen's memory. Loving family members include her mother, Carol Perreault, of Gentilly; companion of 15 years, John Bertils; brother Bernard (Nancy) Perreault of Crookston and their children, Jon, Jason, Jimmy (Katie Larson) and their daughter, Ally, Jenny, and Joey (Jenni Knutson); sister Deborah (Terry) Albaugh of Warren, MN and their sons, Chris (Kari), Ben (Jodi), and Zach Albaugh; and sister Michelle (Steve) Anderson of Gentilly and their children, Tanya (Josh) Popehn and their children Norah and Leo, Carrie (Ben) Herberg and their children Luke, Owen, and Jonah Herberg, Nathan (Adriana) Lanctot, and Heath (Katherine) Lanctot. Karen is preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Marie Welch who passed away in 2010; father, Omer Perreault; sister, Sandy Anderson; and grandparents, Alfred and Aldina Normandin and Albert and Elodia Perreault. The family of Karen would like to extend a special thank you to McKinnon Company, Inc. for being a part of her life and supporting her through her recent illness.
