Jean "The Can Lady" Sudbury, 88, of Crookston, MN, passed away in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, Tuesday morning, December 26, 2017.
Jean Alice Sudbury was born June 8, 1929, to William Gerlach and Zettie Clendenin, in Huron, SD, and had a brother John Gerlech. Before moving to Crookston in the early 70's, Jean was married to Budd Sudbury, and had spent some time living in Chamberlin, SD. Jean was a very happy woman, who loved animals, especially her dogs. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and The Eagles Club. Jean was an avid recycler, especially of cans, which most would then know her as Jeanie "The Can Lady". In her passing, Jean left behind her beloved dog 'Rocky' who will be taken care of by Denise & David.
A private memorial gathering with cake & punch will be held at Oak Court for all who knew Jean there. Details for service date and time will be posted at Oak Court.
