Delores LaVonne Knutson, age 94, of Fisher, MN, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Delores LaVonne Kruse was born on April 12, 1926, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of the late John K. and Goldie (St. John) Kruse, Sr. She was raised in St. Hilaire, MN, and graduate from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, MN, on June 2, 1941. Afterwards, she attended Aker’s Business College in Grand Forks, ND, graduating on April 26, 1945. She was united in marriage to Arthur W. Knutson on September 4, 1949, in St. Hilaire, MN. The family made their homes in St. Hilaire, Fargo, ND, Brownsburg, IN, and Cross Lake, MN. Delores worked in secretarial or administrative work everywhere they lived including for Winona Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, and finally for Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN, retiring as the Account Manager. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, sewing, and most of all spending time with her family.
Delores is survived by her children, Sue Scott of Howell, MI, David (Joanne) Knutson of Eagan, MN, Kathleen (Ed) Bowden of Fisher, MN, Carol Knutson of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Jennifer (Virgil) Boutain of Plummer, MN; 18 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Betty) Kruse, Jr., Wayne Kruse, and Larry (Beatrice) Kruse, all of St. Hilaire, MN; and sister-in-law, Rita Kruse of Grand Rapids, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Knutson; parents, John and Goldie Kruse, Sr.; and brother, Keith Kruse; as well as all her various aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life for Delores will be held in the spring of 2021.
