Obituary

David “Dave” Woodrow Carlson 79, Crookston, MN, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Villa St.Vincent.

David was born in Crookston to Woodrow and Stella Carlson. He went to high school at Crookston Central High. He went on to serve in the Army from 1965 to 1968, where he traveled to Korea in support of the Vietnam war. He worked many years as a trucker for Jacobson Oil Transport and Harvey Boucher. He was an active member of the local VFW and performed in the Honor guard.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Woody and Stella Carlson; sisters, Donna Middleton and Shirley Carlson; brother in-law, John Abeld; nephew, Marc Middleton; and niece, Tracy Amiot.

He is survived by his brother, Dennis Carlson; sister, Carol Abeld; many nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephew, and 1 great great nephew.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Villa and Ethos Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held for David on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral & Cremation Service, 615 S Minnesota St, Crookston, MN 56716.
