Cheryl Steinbrink

May 10, 1962 — August 18, 2012

Cheryl Lynn (Dunlap) Steinbrink, 50, a longtime Crookston resident passed away early Saturday morning, August 18, 2012, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND surrounded by her family. Cheryl was born in Denver, CO on May 10, 1962, one of four children of the union of Marvin and Barbara (Bailor) Dunlap. She lived in Frisco, CO until the end of her sixth grade year, at which point her family moved to rural Bovey, MN where she lived until her high school graduation from Greenway High School in 1980. Soon after high school, Cheryl moved to Crookston where she met Robin George Steinbrink. The two were united in marriage on March 12, 1983 in Balsam Bible Chapel, where she attended as a child. Robin and Cheryl made their home in Crookston and were blessed with three children, Jennifer, Elliot, and Brett. Cheryl and Robin owned and operated Paddy and Paul's 66 Service in Crookston for 15 years. In 1998, Cheryl went back to school to earn her LPN, and later her RN licensure, at the Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, MN. She was currently an RN at RiverView Hospital. In August of 2010, Cheryl opened a quilt shop, This Is Sew Broadway, and shared her love for quilting with the community and surrounding region. Cheryl was a woman of her faith. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Crookston and served on numerous church leadership teams. She was also a member of the Fireman's Auxiliary in Crookston. Cheryl was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother. She loved her three grandchildren and was anticipating the birth of her fourth in November. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking for others, and was a master at baking bread. May God richly bless the memory of Cheryl Lynn Steinbrink.

Loving family members include her loving husband of 29 years, Robin; three children, Jennifer Steinbrink (Joe Walz) of Crookston, Elliot (Lori) Steinbrink of West Fargo, ND, and Brett (Ashley) Steinbrink of Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Emma Steinbrink, and Elizabeth and William Steinbrink; her mother, Barbara Dunlap of Beatrice, NE; and siblings, Terry (Tammi) Reed of Hoople, ND, Pam Seethoff (Dale Czech) of Blackduck, MN, and Karen (Phil) Dittbrenner of Beatrice, NE; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Dunlap, who died in 1996.
