Catarino "Kenny" Dominguez, 87, of Grand Forks, passed away on April 11, 2026.

Kenny was born on April 29, 1938 in Malakoff, Texas to Catarino Dominguez and Angela Lozano Dominguez. Kenny was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Faith as a child. Kenny's family moved to Crookston where he graduated from Crookston Central High School in 1959. After high school, Kenny enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served. Kenny worked for the Grand Forks Public School system as well as Skinner Roofing in Grand Forks. He was also employed at Dollar Tree, the Diamond Bar and Elks Club in Crookston along with Franklin School and Fisher's Landing.

Kenny was a man of many varied interests. He loved western movies and searching the internet and learning about outer space. He enjoyed music and antiques, and was very skilled in small engine repair. Kenny's sisters remember how kind and caring he was with them. He always had a warm hug and kiss for his mom. When he bought his first car, he said to his family, "now we can all go to church together." His family will always remember the trip they took together to Montana.

Kenny is survived by his sons, Mark Dominguez; Seth (Mary) Dominguez; Joe (Elizabeth) Dominguez, Chad Dominguez; grandchildren, Jessica Schufletowski, Michael Dominguez, Rachel Dominguez, Lucy Dominguez, Camilla Dominguez, and Seth Dominguez, Jr.; sisters, Juanita (Paul) Leon, Hope Settles; brother, Richard Dominguez.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Catarino and Angela Dominguez; siblings Manuel Dominguez Enriqueta Moreno, Julio Dominguez, Ramona Mendez, Elvira Medina, and infant brother Daniel Dominguez.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 13, at 2:00 pm at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home with inurnment following at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will begin 1 hour prior.
