Betty Lou Klemens, 87, of Littlerock, CA, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Piedmont-Fayette Hospital, Fayetteville, GA. She had moved to Griffin, GA just a few weeks ago to live with family there and passed away quite unexpectedly after a brief illness.
Betty Lou was born in Crookston, MN on March 23, 1934 to Floyd and Lulu (Fleming) Morlan. She grew up as a member of the Church of Christ and received her education in Crookston schools, graduating from Central High School with the Class of 1952. In 1954 Betty Lou married John Niemann and they lived in Las Vegas, Crookston, and Chicago. She was later united in marriage to Joseph Muscato in Chicago. Sadly, Joe passed away in 1977. In April of 1978 Betty Lou and Robert H. Klemens exchanged vows in LaGrange, IL. The couple then moved to Canyon Country CA, where she attended College of the Canyons earning a Criminal Justice degree in 1982. Next came a move to Littlerock, CA. During her working career Betty Lou was employed as a police matron and radio dispatcher, but her favorite roles in life were always Mother and Nana.
Betty Lou remained a member of the Church of Christ in Crookston and had attended the First Baptist Church in Las Vegas. She also held membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an avid reader, a generous supporter of several charities, and loved to send cards for all occasions to her family and friends. Strangers Betty Lou met became instant friends. She loved her family unconditionally and with all her heart and will be deeply missed by everyone who was a part of her life.
