Barbara Thomas

Barbara Ann Thomas, 79, of La Verne, CA, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, November 24, 2018, at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston with her daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Tom Noah, at her side. She was born in Crookston on December 22, 1938 to Charles and Edith Bendickson. Most of her years were spent in California.

Barbara lived a life of deep and abiding faith in the Lord, and the comfort found in her love for her Church. She enjoyed singing with her friends in the choir, and spending quiet moments each and every day reading her bible. Listening to country music and dancing were among her favorite pastimes. Barbara cherished her family dearly. She was very proud of each of them and their many accomplishments, and she will be very lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who shared in her life.

Barbara is survived by her 4 daughters: Terri (Tom) Noah of Crookston, MN, Cindy Mitchell of Hesperia, CA, Penny (Doug) Boesch of Anderson, SC, and Laurie Cupp of Pomona, CA; son, Kevin Thomas of PA; 13 grandchildren: Joe Noah, Nick Noah (Havilah), Jacqueline (Chris) Cournia, Jamie Mitchell, Kelly (Edwin) Jaggli, Carina Thomas, Devin Boesch, Lisa Stepp, Alyce Cupp, Tori Cupp, Cori Cupp, Kane Thomas, and Nicole Thomas; 7 great-grandchildren: Lindsey Anderson, Caitlyn Cournia, Ian Cournia, Johnny Cournia, Avery Westphal, Cayson Westphal, and Elyeska Noah; 4 great-great grandchildren: Landon, Ella, Cullen, and Brenna; brother, Gary Bendickson of Salem, OR; and several nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Cupp; parents, Charles and Edith Bendickson; and brothers: Clarence, Roy, Carroll, Earl, Lloyd, and Kenneth Bendickson. Blessed be Barbara’s memory.

A Memorial Mass for Barbara Thomas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018, in the Chapel of Villa St. Vincent in Crookston with The Rev. Augie Gothman, presiding. Visitation with the family will be from 1-2:00p.m. Inurnment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Crookston.
