Angel Mae Sunsdahl, age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 17, 2025, in West Fargo, North Dakota.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and observed at a later date.
Mae was born May 1, 1946, in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, to Andrew and Alexina Dessellier. Mae was 1 of 17 children and attended Oklee public schools. Mae worked as a nanny in Grafton, North Dakota, Lady Slipper Designs, the Care and Share, and Rural Transportation Collaberative, both of Crookston, Minnesota. Mae enjoyed cooking for others, music, flowers of all kinds (especially Orchids), dancing and loved making quilts for friends and family.
Mae is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Dale Raymond Moran, of Mentor, Minnesota, her partner, Arnold Qualley, of Crookston, Minnesota and husband, Marvin Sunsdahl of Crookston, Minnesota.
Mae is survived by 3 siblings and 7 children. Surviving siblings are Vincent Dessellier and wife Shirley; brother, Eugene Dessellier and wife Margaret, and sister Joyce Tougas. Mae’s children are Tim Driscoll and wife Mona, Rachel Moran and partner Robert Black, Dale Andrew Moran and wife Jennifer, Gerald Moran and wife Gwendolyn, Denise Moran, Selina Moran, Christopher Moran; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mae was lovingly surrounded by family in the days prior to her passing and will be missed by many.
